Duane Bean is a pen & ink artist who loves to bring his passion to others though his depiction of New England architecture, landscapes and seascapes.
His journey with pen and ink didn't begin until after retirement when he was finally able to devote time and dedication to drawing.
His artwork is enjoyed by many often bringing back fond memories of past experiences,vacations or home.
Duane was born and raised in Conneautville, PA. He aspired to be an artist at a young age and tried many different mediums. He is mostly self-taught, having taken a few classes with Libby Chase, Adjunct Professor at the Art Institute of NH. During these classes, he fell in love with pen & ink and gets his inspiration from the beauty around New England.
Duane's artwork has gone international and it is currently in England, France, Spain, Germany, Japan, Italy, Australia and Peru.
As a member of the York Art Association and the New England Art Reach, his work has been displayed in a number of galleries and libraries in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He and his wife currently reside in Dover, NH.
